Up next in the Team Katswell Character Guide we have Kitty's gladiator ancestor from Ancient Rome: the powerful, yet honorable warrior and future leader of a gladiator uprising, Katsicus.

Katsicus was trained in various forms of weapons and hand-to-hand combat, and can deliver devastating blows to his opponents and can take just as much. He also wields a Gladius sword and a trident as his primary weapons when in the Colosseum, and actually developed strategies to use his opponents' own strength and power against them.

Bio:
During the days of the mighty Roman Empire, Katsicus was one of the finest gladiators to ever step foot into the Colosseum. But, before he became known as such, he was once a young military soldier training in the army of an opposing nation in hopes of becoming a fine soldier. When he was 18, Katsicus was sent on a quest into the heart of the Roman Empire to complete his training, when he encountered a legion of Roman centurions heading into battle. He was then captured by the legion, and under the order of Emperor Julius Cheeser, was forced to do battle against many other gladiators for the people's entertainment.
But, Katsicus never let go of his fighting spirit while in the Colosseum, and quickly rose through the ranks of Cheeser's warriors, eventually being praised like a god among gladiators. Katsicus basked in his glory for a while, until he eventually realized that he was going to kill even those whom he considered to be his closest friends and allies in the arena. One night, Katsicus decided to sneak around the Colosseum grounds to get some answers, and quickly found out that Cheeser was going to execute him publicly on the 15th of March. This got him suspicious that Cheeser was becoming mad with power, and he decided that it was time to lead an uprising against the Roman senate.
So, with help from a local scholar working alongside Cheeser, Katsicus rallied his few remaining gladiators, and formed a small rebellion against Cheeser for his cruel ways. When the 15th of March finally came, the guards came into Katsicus' chamber to bring him to the execution platform, but on his command, the other gladiators appeared, and took care of the guards no problem. Afterwards, they storm through the palace grounds, fighting their way through the guards, but when they reached Cheeser's chamber, they quickly realized that Brutus killed him first. But, the uprising continued, and Katsicus and his fellow gladiators were able to escape capture, and flee to an unclaimed area of land for them and their kin to call their own.
Katsicus was actually the first of Kitty's ancestors that Team Katswell met while on their time-travel adventure. They came to Ancient Rome when they found out that Jack Rabbit has sent Gorilla Warfare back there to steal Katsicus' DNA, and bring it back to him. Upon arriving there, Kitty and the gang searched the Roman capitol, and they discovered that Gorilla Warfare has been using his military training and tactics at the Colosseum to take gladiator after gladiator to draw out Katsicus. And, because he had some unfinished business in Rome, Katsicus returned to the Colosseum, and did battle with Gorilla Warfare, only to get captured himself. Some time later, he was rescued by Kitty and the rest of the Team, and together they learned that Gorilla Warfare was planning to execute him for having an "inferior" fighting style after getting his DNA. So, Kitty had Stan and Elvis partake in a chariot race against Gorilla Warfare at the Colosseum, and although he was a tough opponent, the two of them were able to defeat him, and claim victory, even achieving god status from the people. Afterwards, Kitty and the others returned to the present with Gorilla Warfare, and Katsicus returned home to focus on a new goal: making the world's first pizza.

Personality & Traits:
Katsicus is a very strong-willed and determined warrior, and he won't back down from a challenge from the Roman Empire or any other gladiator who challenges him. However, because of his former military background, Katsicus actually incorporates strategies that no one's ever seen before, such as striking his opponents in the hamstrings as they're not armored, or using the walls to take them by surprise. Little did he realize that his revolutionary tactics are still being used by martial artists in the present, albeit not as lethal as it was in the past.
Katsicus actually DOES respect his opponents, even the man who captured him and forced him to fight in the Colosseum, Julius Cheeser (even though he hates Cheeser's guts). In fact, most of the opponents he spares in the fights actually become very close to him, and even become good friends to him. As for Kitty and Team Katswell, Katsicus actually has more respect for Stan and Elvis than he does for the rest of the Team, even his own descendant. He believes that their different physiques compliment each others' fighting styles perfectly, and thinks they would've made worthy gladiators in the arena.
As much of a warrior as he is, Katsicus always has had a vision of creating a brand new dish that's a combination of flat bread, crushed tomatoes into paste, and white cheese made from freshly-milked cows. He believes it would be a great pick-me-up for people on the go, since it would be sliced into triangular shapes, and its simple concept would be easy for anyone to eat. So, when he and his fellow gladiators gained freedom, he spent most of his later years making this dish, but still prepares himself for any form of danger that would come his way.
