Ajusting her skirt right before to enter the bridge of the Judgement, Tamara was about to inform the grand-admiral of the incident at system B20. Daji was checking many informations and plans on her holographic projections. When Tamara was close to the leader of the Armada, she perfectly saluted her superior, except a little nervous movement of her tail.
- Scout Tamara, reporting, grand-admiral!
Tamara couldn't help but to nervously swing her tail. Smoothing a stupefaction, Daji ceased to look on the holoscreens and curtly replied
- Yes, scout?
- It's about the incident in the system B-20, according to your orders.
It seemed that Daji was deliberately testing the young recruit, making her quite nervous
- B20 you said? Not the system close to this one... And not a priority for me... Would you resume the situation, scout?
- Three days ago, a cargo forced the embargo due to the terraforming of the planet KX-120. The unidentified vessel refused to obey to our orders, and opened fire. After a brief fight, the cargo was destroyed. Analysis shows that it transported forbidden biological products on KX-120.
- Smuggling hmmm? So, what is the faction suspected?
- Black Sun, grand-admiral! We're still investigating about the past of the cargo's crew.
- What are the consequences of this incident on the terraforming?
- We still don't know... We don't know if that was the first loading, or if they were able to pass the contraband previously. Planet authority are searching for such hints and presence of bio-organism in the atmosphere that may influence the terraforming.
- Very well. What do you recommend?
At that moment, the young recruit Tamara lost all of her self-confidence
- I... don't know... I'm just a scout... We should ask the planetary authority for a plan and...
- So you're admitting the fact that you've crossed the whole galaxy and so wasting a precious carbugel just to inform me on a need-to-know basis something that could have been sent through Stellarnet at a cheaper price? Is that so, recruit?
Daji then started to grin.
The troubles only began for Tamara...
"Yay new rookie, new prey" could be a lovely description of Daji's smile, don't you think?

Well, for starters, if the analysis showed it was illegal bio-organisms, then that means such organism as identified and known, therefore, there might be a way to neutralize it or eliminate it with little or no impact to the terraforming project.
While that is happening, further investigation of the smuggler's ship (and indeed, it's crew remains) may yield a registry, some computer part with a bit of luck might no be damaged and information, albeit fragmented, could be recovered, crew remains analyzed for DNA matches for information about their identities, which can be used to check on bank accounts to find out who payed them and i turn, be able to investigate those forking the money for involvement (rule number 1: always check the women and the money first!)
if suspected faction was Black Sun, discreet inquiries with underworld contacts might yield further information and possible reasons for such actions and smuggling of prohibited bio-organisms, that could give a name to the mastermind of such plan, people involved and it's goals.
