The hand is better. The texture is more stylized but more true to form. The anatomy feels better overall too.

The poof has expanded~

it...has actually improved. The left is far too soft and has absolutely less texturing feel to it than on the right.
Like, the smoothed out soft shading on the left makes it feel LESS fuzzy and floofy than on the right. I have no clue how you think your new style is worse. xD

The left feels more human like, while the right feels more animal like. It feels like you shifted from a 3.5 to a 2.5 on the feral to human scale. But that’s not a bad thing. It just means a shift in style

I definitely see the improvement and one thing that instantly stands out to me is how much more refined and detailed your lineart is; I also think your switch from soft shading to cell shading is a good choice personally!

I'd say that saying its worse is too harsh on yourself! Her hair, fur, and the lighting all have much better detail. Her body is shaped even a little bit more fluidly.

Its great work! I know that as a writer, its tough for me to notice my own improvements as well, over time. Its often said that the most critical person involved in a creative person's life is themselves. Your art is beautiful. Don't listen to the darker side of your creative self.

This redraw definitely isn’t worse. It’s majorly improved. The detail work in the floofiness on the hair, tail and all over her body is absolutely spectacular. I even like her expression in the newer one a bit more. I love how you changed the cloud position in the new one.
Truly incredible work.

i say that this is a vast improvement, i know alot of people like the old style, but the newer style seems cleaner and more refined in my eyes

Always so cool and lovely to see how one improves between years honestly! Really love seeing the comparison here n_n

Even your loungers has improved: it's gone from "Generic Lounger #001" to something with screws, pivots, tubular construction, and a sense of heft even when you glance at it. It also looks much more comfortable with the headrest and the plastic armrest.

And like everyone else, I must worship the floof. Floof is good.

I guess it's true when they say an artist is his own worst enemy.

You implemented bloom, 3d fur and hair, generally better anatomical detail on the model, real time reflections, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, higher resolution textures, higher polygon count, better color space, volumetric clouds, and more! (Jokes aside, this is a great improvement and you shouldn't put yourself down.)

Actually, I would say the newer one shows substantial improvement; it looks a lot more... "crisp". The details and features have a lot more "pop" and definition compared to the old style. The lighting effects are better, too. Not to mention how the background details improved, like how the chair has detailed, realistic joints and construction.

I do prefer the newer one, the shading looks more organic and she looks so soft and fluffy

the anatomy on the new one is vastly more detailed and correct, the crook in the hip to rib bend, the bunching up of her shoulder muscle due to arm positioning, she looks much more "real" in the new pic. the shading is much more natural in in the new one.

Quite the opposite, it has gotten *much* better! I 1000% prefer the new over the old. No fuzzy shading, more definition, better anatomy, better texturing, better everything, really!

i see a massive improvment, loving the added floofyness.
And.i may be seeing things but i believe the clouds in the background was just flipped to the opposite side.
That thought aside, the everything looks visually better in my opinion. =3

That's different for sure but not worse. You're still good at it.

worse? that both look great! the only thing your old piece has over the new one is your choice of colors and your shading are a tad bit better, other than that there both great!
