Friday the 13th comes on a Friday this month! But that's okay. We survived the last time Friday the 13th came on a Friday in 2020, back in ... March. Ugh.

So I wanted to do a Churchy LaFemme picture in honor of this most ominous of days and couldn't find a good one in Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years With Pogo without doing more work than I wanted. Instead, here's a bit from a story where Churchy got his head stuck inside his shell (couldn't remember how to get it out), and P T Bridgeport wanted to sign up this headless freak for his show, and Howland and Pogo figured they'd better get his head out before he went on stage. Thus the air pump and an unusual amount of energy on Pogo's part.

Churchy's cry of ``Weehawken'' is because, as Kelly explains, he was experimenting with goofy sound effects, trumpets that blast ``Charlie'' or explosions that sound like ``Weehawken''. I approve of the idea, but apparently, ``all it did was annoy people named Charlie from Weehawken'' so he let the idea drop. I understand it coming to that, too.
