So a long while ago, when I was still commissioning
Xeshaire often, she was hosting a stream and was offering on the spot sketches, and so i'd decided to jump in with the idea of a water-tendril example on how they work.
Anyhoo, after some time, and lack of funds to commission more, I just decided to sketch the other examples of the spells as it would be good practice for myself.
__________
Water-Tendrils are in a way an extension of ones self. It's not exactly just a moving stream of water being propelled by magick powers, but for the Darjeets as a species, the streams of water acted as if the creatures themselves had extra appendages. Though it felt ghostly as if they were phantom limbs, they are just as real as their hand-paws, controlled though both of the magick energizes storage within them, and sheer willpower of each individual Darjeet.
Like any skill, it takes practice. Even with the blessing of Ma-Ho's gift, granting the gene altering mutation to that of the first of the Darjeets who would later pass it down through their generations, the ability of Water-Tendrils still requires many hours of mediation, practice, and technique. In this demonstration, the jeet shows two objects, being both held up by her duel Water-Tendrils. A single apple is light, and only a thin trickle stream of water is need to hold it off the ground.
A box full of apples however, is far heavier. It requires more concentration, magick reserves, as well an thicker arm of water acting as the muscle to hoist up the box. Depending on the task at hand, the strength of each Water-Tendril needs to be taken account, as failing to do so could cause the spell to flutter, or even outright fail to do what it is intended for. However once a Darjeet is skilled and practice enough, they can handle multiple water-tendril streams, each doing their own tasks, and handling their own weights they are carrying.
