Gaspar's Lament - a Thursday Prompt
the prompt this week was 'the song'... and so this is what I came up with; a seafaring thingamabob shanty.
If anyone wants to try and put this to music, but all means help yourselves.
Gaspar would be reference to King Gaspar from 'The Dread Pirate Tabor'
enjoy...

*giggles and nuzzles softly*
Yup, "What shall we do with the drunken sailor", that was indeed where I took both those lines from We were taught that song in school, and I should even still have a special version of it somewhere from waaaaaaay back when I graduated from elementary school/grade school; that year the school was exactly five years old, and for the lustrum, some teachers had written a song that we, the oldest class, were to sing at the performance for the parents we did; it was on the tune of Drunken Sailor!

Yeh! I mean... when I finished that school, I was 10, pushing 11 after the summer vacation. Some age to teach someone a song about drunken sailors...
*laughs softly and nuzzles a large fennec ear*
Ah well... at least they didn't teach us "she'll be coming round the mountains" or "99 bottles of beer"...

i came up with a preliminary idea for this, during my daily hour-long drive home, so i fired up my phone's note recorder and *gasp* sang lol
it was atrocious, but seemed silly enough lol and enough to preserve the idea... but, for all of EastWest's choir glory, there's one glaring ommission: the pirate shanty choir hah!
