Arrangement: Hydrocity Zone, Act 1 (Sonic the Hedgehog 3)
My take on the first act of Hydrocity Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (also Sonic 3 & Knuckles if you play the entire thing from start to finish). I went a little crazy with this one, I do admit, but I wanted to have some fun with the non-melodic percussion instruments; note that it sounds chaotic because that represents my frustration with this zone when I first started playing the game. I also used a different score for reference so I could get the rhythms right.
To play it this way, you need:
Piano
Electric piano
Electric bass
Acoustic bass
Glockenspiel
Crotales
Xylophone
Tubular bells
4 vibraphones
6 marimbas (2 grand staff, 2 treble clef, 2 bass clef)
Timpani
Drum set
Battery percussion
