Trying to wrap my head around a neat little (free!) modeling program I've found today called 'sculptris'. You literally mold whatever you'd like from a ball, the program doing a wonderful job of emulating the sculpting of clay.
After many a prodding from a certain blue puppy dog, I started trying to create Pete's likeness in the program. I think I'm a long way from making a decent full body sculpt. :)

Speakin' as someone who can only make inanimate type objects in 3D using 3D programs both offline & online.
( The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 as well as a few interior sets of it also, mostly 1960's style for some odd reason )
Your doing a hella lot better then I.
