No it's not a crocodile. No it's not an alligator. No, that's not hair hanging from the back of her head (it's her tail) and no, she's not a mammal.
Kun is a resweec and the head priestess of bloodwork in the country of Urudai. This is in fact the reason why her chest looks that way. The goddess she worships *is* a mammal (obstinately) and hence she wears bags of sand under her chest to imitate her in all things, just as her gray robes and yellow 'belly stripe' imitate the goddess in appearance.
Bloodwork has roughly the same in Urudai as medicine has here. Only due to the magic they use, they don't have to be nearly as careful with the patient's body. (Think woodwork and metalwork.) Once the pain was blocked, Kun would think nothing of slicing your belly open with her claws, and pulling *all* your intestines out, just so she could have a better look at your kidneys as part of a preliminary examination. She knows she can simply put it all back again, and then draw upon her goddess Uru for the power to instantly heal the cuts and prevent infection.
She also has a rather odd viewpoint on euthanasia, as she also knows that her goddess can literally 'catch' the soul of anyone who is about to die, then then give them new bodies so they can be literally born again.
