COASAM: Goodbye One Job, Hello Another
The latest in my series of "Compositions of a Stupid Autistic Mind," which are either repetitive on purpose or are just stupid little melodies I improvise. Why? It represents the annoying things I used to do as a child, which proved to my parents I really am autistic. This whole series of compositions are based on dreams I have from time to time, which are flashbacks of my childhood. These repetitive melodies, therefore, are generally either things I improvised and they stuck with me, or were based on things I discovered I remembered wrong. Alternately, they're sometimes relevant to a current event in my life, or just represent what mood I am in right now. This series also is a challenge for me to use specific MuseScore templates at least once (although I also modify settings on the templates to make it easier on myself). That challenge is completed, though, so I'm now going back to templates I am used to, namely when there's lots of percussion.
For this one, I used the marching band template, and wrote it as a companion to this journal. After five and a half years at my fast food job (McDonald's), I was finally able to switch to a job that pays better and has better benefits you can't get with fast food, such as health and dental insurance: Walmart. Today was my last day at McDonald's (although it was a very short day because the staff didn't need my help after all), and so I made this to be a celebratory song.
I am overjoyed beyond belief because I'm finally taking a step up in the right direction.
