Meet Ashura, my newest character! She still has a lot of work to be done, mostly in the lore and personality side of things, her design is basically done, so that'll be fun to work on. Here's a bit of a rough draft WIP of what I've got so far, none of it is set in stone <:

I'll be referring to the resource she uses when using magic as mana.

She's a magical fairy dragon of sorts, heavily attuned towards nature magic. Her base form is without wings (top right), but she can summon/manifest a pair of wings to allow flight via magic, though doing so is very mana intensive.
Doing so also causes other minor changes to her appearance, mostly notably the pair of antennae that grows from her head. These are used to absorb mana from the air and place it in her body, allowing her to make use of it and refill her reserves, since the wings take a lot of mana to maintain and use.
In addition, her blue and green parts of her body will start glowing more brightly, current idea behind it being that they're visual manifestations of where her mana is stored and her magic comes from.

While there isn't any backstory behind why she looks the way the does or is as she is, the current ideas are either
1. That's just how she is
or
2. In her early adolescence she was a white wingless dragon living near a big magical forest that she'd go for walks in, collect and cultivate plants and such, making her almost a caretaker of the area.
Then at some point she was attacked by unknown forces and critically injured, forcing her to retreat to safety, her home being too far away, so she had to flee deep into the forest, hoping to lose her attackers and being able to lick her wounds and recover. The spirits/fae of the forest, having grown fond of her from all she had done over the years, acted to save her life with their magic. Unfortunately, because her injures were too serious, simple healing magic wouldn't be enough, so they had to "imbue" her with magic, changing her appearance and turning her into a magical fairy dragon as a result. Any blue and green areas on her body, is where the magic manifested itself
