Hmmm. But with that low a light input from their star, what provides the energy to drive the biosphere? If the plants and animals and fungi all eat each other, you're in a death spiral very quickly.
I'm thinking geothermal energy? Plant-equivalents may need minerals from animals, but they get their main energy supplies from tapping hot springs and such?
