Love is a thing
Most delicate in nature
Balancing on the Blade of Truth
With howling winds twisting around
Slip but a little
And there is no turning back
Hold onto that blade
No matter how much pain is caused
For the first time you slip
May be the last time you fall
To trust your heart after its faliure
Is more difficult than anything you may come across again
Love is a thing
Fragile to the slightest touch
Holding on with everything it has
To last from one minute to the next
Waiting for the one who comes
To save them from the death that awaits
Love is a thing
That few have to hold true
If you happen to be lucky enough
To know one of those rare of heart
Open yourself to them
For they are delicate, fragile, and dying
And soon there shall be no more
For their kind is dying
For love is a thing
Fragile and delicate
Failing in the spirit of mankind
