An old comm I did on Deviantart!
It was always an adventurous day to be going into the air - but even with the feeling of anticipation and excitement, there was just this overwhelming feeling of a monotonous life. Aero clearly needed something, anything to just fill that void but really, everything was in place - at least that was what he had assumed. Glancing around at the park and different sights around, there was not a single interesting sight until, there it was. It was the stick of all sticks - a god amongst sticks. So big in fact that there would be absolutely no way for him to fit it on that plane, let alone carry it around all day. However, he was determined to make this work - he had to keep this treasure in his life. What would be the first mission? Getting this enchanting piece of wood so that no one else may feel it's glory. Step by step, he grew closer to its beauty, looking left and right to make sure that nobody would notice as he inched forward to make his strike. Jaw opening slowly, trying not to alert the others roaming, amongst the park. Snatching it as quickly as he could and with bolt speed he was out of there. As ecstatic as he was - he didn't even notice the many people he was tripping. All he could think of was two things, getting to work and carrying this huge stick around. On the same token though, he truly wasn't thinking about work in the sense of practicality. How the hell was he going to bring in a branch of this size?
Finally catching a breather, Aero finally was able to glance around at the now forming crowd of people staring at him. Sure, he knew exactly what he had in his mouth, but a stroke of imperceptive nature didn't prepare him for what challenges he would face next. "Sir - I don't think you can bring that in? It's way too big, especially for the airplane." The Stewardess was quick to notice the oblivious pilot, then again, was she really going to be able to stop him? The answer is more than likely no. Not even batting an eye towards her, let alone drop the stick - he barely made his way through the double doors and happily jogged past security and to his flight. Sure, he had to shimmy sideways through doors and hope that he didn't break anything too valuable but it was worth it to have this new companion with him. The biggest trouble came in the form of what he loved the most, the plane. With the size of the stick there was hardly a way for him to figure out how to shimmy the stick through even with help, but he couldn't just leave it alone.
Stubbornly, the pup tried every way he could to get it on. Mainly with brute force of just continually trying to walk through the entry way normally but the sides of the stick are too thick to break and there’s not a lot of wiggle room to get it through. Before he hurt himself or damage the plane, his co-pilot was quick to run over trying to calm him down. "Woah - hey, buddy you know you can't bring that on, it's far too big! You'll hurt somebody with something that big." His co-pilot was clearly annoyed with the decisions of Aero, how the hell did he even think something like that was going to fit? However, the look in his eyes burned a hole straight through his soul. It was like this stick was a long-lost companion that he just needed on this flight. Sighing slightly, the co-pilot quickly tried to break it into a much more manageable piece. While still body pillow sized, it fit through the doors if tilted just right and could sit easily upright if needed without poking into anyone’s shoulder. With teary eyes, he held onto the branch. "Does that mean I can bring it along?"
"Of course buddy. Of course."
