The design's from the film Summer Wars, by Japanese director and animator Mamoru Hosoda -- I've been a fan of his work since I stumbled onto that film, and can definitely recommend his work.

Always did like the avatar designs from Summer Wars. I could take or leave the destructive AI, but I'd love to have a virtual world like OZ -- we're not too far off as it is.
