Sylvia the Siamese and the Return of the Cylon Gun!
Way back in the last century, I owned a Hi-Point 995 Carbine with the black polymer grip and chromed metal receiver cover and barrel guard. This was referred to, semi-sardonically, as'the Cylon Gun' by my shooting buddies.
What became of the Cylon Gun? Well, let's just say that 2001 sucked so badly for me, personally, that 9/11 was more of a side note than a personal trauma and leave it at that. Long story short, my once-extensive collection of actual firearms (as opposed to the toy ones) were mostly sold off.
So, where did this Model 995 and its new cousin, the 995TS come from? I'm afraid to ask. All I know is I heard a meow from behind me, and when I turned around, this is what I saw. Good kitty!
Anyhow, future plans include outfitting the new "Cylon Gun" with an ATI stock (see inset) so that I'll have a poor man's Beretta CX4...

Haven't tried HPs with these yet, but from what I read, they'll digest about everything out there without complaints. And add customer service to Hi-Point's, er, high points; they get raves on that score and back up every gun with a lifetime warranty, whether you're the first owner or the fifteenth...
