I remember your really old TLK art! haha NEEDLESS to say you've vastly expanded your skillz.

I cringe every time I revisit it, but I leave it up for other artists who think they can't improve. As much as it hurts my ego to leave it up for the world to see, it also reminds me how far Ive come and how far I can go yet C:.

Major difference - one I hope to accomplish someday.

Yeah I was/am on tlkfaa since...2002? ALL my oldest stuff is up there, not my oldest art but the oldest stuff Ive uploaded online :D. There's some pretty bad stuff there :B.

I remember the hairdo, but you were already really good when I found you on DeviantArt, back when I was 16 or so :) Kiki only got toonier and toonier over the years.

I love how kiki evolved, she is absolutely one of my favorite characters!

just keep at it, I keep all my old art up on TLKFAA so hopefully other artists who feel discouraged, as I often do, are reminded that through perseverence and practice you CAN improve ^_^... (though I still think I have a long way to go, but such is the way of us artists C: )

she's mad about the hair I think ;D. But really if folks want to draw crazy hair on their chars, I don't have the slightest conniption about it, I just don't understand why I jumped on that bandwagon as it makes no sense to me personally.

i guess it's to like "personalize'' it further or make it more 'human'' i normally don't like hair on characters but sometimes it just 'fits'

I think that the hair on non-anthros is probably a way of relating more to the characters, since we as people all have hair, and love to style it. And then you'd expect that they might start putting clothes on them, and then they'd be like sparkledogs ^.^.

I can't say I was ever a part of the TLK fandom, but I did my share of TLK fanart, and all my felines looked like simba for a long time.

Oh wow... that's really a huge improvement. Im kind of the same way about the wtf hair on quads now... only it took me just 3 years to decide that I would get rid of the hair on my fursona... right before adding it back, and then stop using her for a new one with an actually possible design. Well... okay, maybe not totally possible. I went from a naturally colored lynx with weird hair, to a blue saber-toothed liger with a small-ish mane. xD;

But back to you- you have definitely improved a lot. It's extremely easy to see. It's no wonder you have all the fans you have, with your talent. ho hum~ Everything you draw is so realistic and beautiful. It's a huge inspiration for many, Im sure, including myself. Keep up the amazing work, dear! Im always happy to see what you can spit out. ;) <3

I know, I was apart of that crazy fandom too, still got an account, but its not used anymore. lol. My old lionized fursona has the hair thing going on XD Looks like a lion with a horses main on it XD Wish i knew who started the trend of those crazy sparkle lions.
