You enter a room dimly lit in dark purple fluorescence. Shadows cast against the walls, with only one light source coming from the desk. The blacklight must have been a very low wattage to make everything so dark, and nothing else produced light except a tiny bottle with something inside it, emitting a soft pinkish purple glow that gave you a warm feeling in your heart and slight sting right in the center. What was that tinge of anxiety? It was small enough to ignore as you approach the orb more closely. The bottle was shaped to fit the creature floating rhythmically up and down, every few seconds it made a very faint and deep “coo” sound. Was that it sighing? It’s glowing tiny pink spines on its back went bright, then dim... Bright when it went up, dim when it went down. After a minute or two of studying the queer containment, a beautiful aura of pink smoke began to release in a dance from the side vent of the bottle. You smile at how pretty the smoke is, but immediately retaliate several feet back as the smell of the pink-violet gas hits your nose. What is that smell? If you have ever witnessed the death and decay of a carcass in a wetland on a hot day, you would know the smell...The creature inside made another pitiful “coooo”, as if it was sad that you hated the scent of whatever it produced. You keep your nose covered by your shirt and take a few steps closer, but not as close as the first time. A black beaded pendant circled the neck of the bottle. A small pentagram charm hung delicately. The creature looked at you, and then the star in circle, it’s eyes still in that pitiful droop. There is no way you are risking touching that pendant, or anything else in that room. It seems harmless for now, but the Unknown can pull some nasty tricks on the human psyche. You shake your head once at the floating mystical beauty.
A cold breeze swept through the empty room lit by a dim blacklight. A window was open, but it was far too high for any human to open and close it. You then realize the several plants that were set up in the corners of the room shook with the breeze, but none of them were suspicious or interesting. You decide to turn your back on the small pink stink creature and explore somewhere else. Before you leave, you turn around in the door frame and take out your phone. The stink from the creature was almost gone at the door, so you just zoom in and take a quick picture of the sad sluggish being. As the flash went off and you exit the foul smelling room, you check the photo and notice heavy black tears pouring from its eye, looking right at you. What was that thing? At least it wasn't dangerous. Just really smelly.
