The trio of performers made their way to the center of the dark stage. There was a large platform there, allowing everyone present at the circus to get the best view possible. It was also useful for hiding the acrobats' props. Once all three were on top of it, they faced away from each other and held hands, making a circle. The three kept their heads down and eyes closed, waiting for the lights to turn on and the music to start.
After a few moments of silence and whispers from the crowd, a large spotlight shone down onto the stage. It illuminated the performers and made their bodysuits shine. On the right, was Valko Petkov. The 6' 2'' performer stood taller than the other two and had beautiful green eyes, black hair and a goatee. His bodysuit left only his feet, arms and head uncovered. Due to how tight it was, however, his musculature still showed through. The color of the suit was a gradient, starting with a vibrant red next to his feet, turning into a light orange closer to the head. A pair of fingerless gloves of the same color and material finished the look.
Wucro was on the left. The muscular, anthropomorphic primate wore the same style of suit. The difference was, his started with a bright yellow at his ankles, finishing with a shade closer to green at his neck. Standing at 6' 0.5'', he was a bit shorter than Valko and had brown eyes. The suits kept both the primate's and Valko's strong, muscular arms exposed. Finally, behind and in between the two was Yuri Krylenko, facing away from the audience. Standing at 5' 2'', the blond contortionist was shorter than his partners. His suit went from a dark blue to a much lighter shade on his chest. His blue eyes went well with the costume.
The acrobats opened their eyes in unison and raised their heads. They then released each other's hands, and raised their right arms in a slow, deliberate pace, accompanying the build-up of the track playing in the background. After that, the performers turned to face the audience. Wucro and Valko each held out a hand, which Yuri grabbed. The blond performer then raised his feet off the ground, and moved his legs straight in front of him as the pair lifted him up higher. Their arms were steady, barely shaking. Once the contortionist was lifted above his partners' heads, Yuri spread his legs apart, placing one foot in each of the other acrobats' shoulders.
Once he felt stable enough, Yuri released his partners' hands, now spreading them out for balance. Wucro and Valko then began to move away from each other, lowering the blond contortionist into a split. They then walked back, giving Yuri more support, and allowing him to sink even lower, getting into an oversplit. The monkey and green-eyed human raised one leg off the platform, the ones that were on the edge of the formation. They held their legs close with one arm in a standing side split, making a symmetrical image. Their free arms were raised, fingers spread apart. Yuri then began showing off his flexible legs, twisting his torso from side to side, changing from middle splits and front splits with ease.
The performer in blue finished by facing the primate. The other two performers lowered their legs, and grabbed Yuri's ankles, holding him up by them. Valko gently lowered the blond performer's leg, until it laid flat on the platform. Wucro still held the leg in front of Yuri high, maintaining an oversplit. He pushed it against the performer's body, making a 270° oversplit. Wucro raised his own leg, in a front split, like Yuri's. Valko helped the monkey lower his body as well, until he managed an oversplit identical to the performer in blue. Their vertical legs touched and supported each other. Valko then stood behind the pair, holding their feet together.
The black-haired human looked at the audience for a few moments, before raising his feet off the platform. Using his partners' feet as support, Valko raised his lower body until he was vertical, in a perfect handstand. He then shifted his grip, grasping both of their feet with one hand. That allowed him to raise his left arm, keeping it flat against his body. At the same time, Yuri and Wucro bent their backs, laying against and grasping their legs on the back. Valko then held his position, before dropping his weight and bending his arm at the elbow, pressing it against his stomach. His body was now horizontal, legs pressed together and stretched out, showing immaculate balance. In one last feat of strength, he raised himself back up into a one-handed handstand with a single push. After that, he bent his legs and dropped down to the platform, accompanied by loud applause from the spectators.
Valko then helped the pair of contortionists get out of their position, grabbing each of their ankles and lowering their legs to the ground. After that, they stood up and faced the audience once more. They shifted positions, Wucro now taking the center of the stage. The primate in yellow and green kept his arms against his side as he raised his right leg up. It was a delicate, controlled movement. He managed a split without issue. He then bent his leg at the knee, moving his foot behind his head and lowering it down his back. He then held his arms out to the side, and Yuri stood in front of him, off to the right. With a small hop, the blond contortionist got on top of the primate's bent leg, sitting atop his shin.
Wucro held Yuri's hips, and Yuri held the monkey's shoulder. At first, the performer in blue kicked his legs up and down, alternating with each swing. But then he replicated the primate's movements, raising his right leg and getting it far down behind his back. Valko then followed suit, standing in front of Yuri. He turned around to face the contortionist, placing one hand on his knee, and one on his shoulder. Wucro leaned to the left, to adjust the center of gravity in preparation for Valko's move. Of course, the muscular acrobat raised his feet off the ground for yet another handstand. He moved his legs up with ease, finishing with a split in a handstand. Wucro and Yuri held out their free hands out to the side. The audience clapped again, and after receiving their praise, Valko dismounted. Yuri followed, unbending his leg and hopping off the primate's leg.
Wucro remained in the center of the stage, untangling his leg and looking up, as if waiting for something. Meanwhile, Valko moved behind the ape, and Yuri stepped to the side. Above Wucro, a thin, large, metallic ring descended, hanging from the ceiling by a resistant cable. It stopped high above the simian's head, the performer not able to reach it by himself. Valko crouched while keeping his hands together and palms up, to give the ape a boost. Wucro stepped onto the human's hands, and Valko lifted the primate. It was enough for the primate to get his torso through the ring. At that point, the monkey bent his back. He draped his body over the thin metal of the ring, like a shirt left to dry on a clothesline.
His backbend was deep, his shoulders touching the back of his legs. The primate kept his wrists together as Valko stepped under the primate. In one hand, the human held both of the ape's wrists. On the other, he grasped one of the monkey's ankles, wrapping his fingers around the other one as much as he could. He then lifted his feet off the platform, his legs stretched straight in front of him. Like a gymnast at the rings event in the Olympics. Valko focused as he raised both of his legs, getting into a pike position. He moved his legs, straight as a board, in a tight frontbend between his arms, his feet past his head.
Yuri stepped in, below Valko's feet. He reached for them and closed his eyes for a moment. With a sudden jump, the blond contortionist used Valko's feet as leverage to raise himself onto a handstand. The audience was in awe at the display of strength, balance and flexibility. Finally, the contortionist in blue got into a backbend, stretching out his legs so his feet were on either side of the metal rim, above the monkey's body. A machine the cable was attached to caused the ring to spin at that moment. It turned the trio around so the audience members could see them from every angle. Their balance was unerring, remaining still until the ring spun around 360°.
The crowd cheered the performers on. Once they had done a complete turn, Yuri unbent his back and dropped onto the platform. Valko then undid his frontbend and stood back on the ground, releasing the primate's limbs. Wucro then straightened his back, falling on his feet from the ring. The metallic object was then raised back to its original position. The primate moved to the back and Valko stepped in. First, he bent forward, until his hands touched the floor. He then crouched, and lifted his right leg, like a scorpion's tail. Meanwhile, Wucro kneeled, allowing Yuri to stand on his shoulders, facing the opposite way. The primate stood, carrying the weight of the blond human.
Valko held his leg low, enough for the simian to sit down on his foot. Wucro then raised his legs all the way up, making a V shape with them. He didn't need to use his hands to bend them that way. With his feet above his head, Yuri could now stand on them. The primate's legs remained strong to support his partner. Yuri got into the same position as the monkey, only upside-down. He bent his torso forward enough to fit it through his legs, now able to look at the crowd. Both contortionists stretched their arms out to the side, showing them in front of their legs.
The red acrobat then finished the pose by stretching his legs, lifting his partners using his monstrous strength and incredible sense of balance. He got into a standing split, torso pointing forward. He also stretched out his arms to the side, going along with the other performers. The spectators once again showed their support, the trio smiling as they saw the approval. Yuri was the first to get down from the pose, straightening his body once again. He crouched down, placing his hands on Wucro's shoulders to help him get down from the tall height. Wucro lowered his legs and hopped off his "seat", and Valko undid the split, standing on his two feet again.
Wucro and Yuri cartwheeled on the stage as Valko hopped behind the platform to grab the first two props. A board, and a cylinder. The acrobat set the cylinder in the center of the platform and placed the board on top of it. He tilted it from left to right for a few moments, holding it by the edges. He then lifted his feet off the ground, balancing on the board using his arms as he straightened his body into a handstand. The black-haired human then spread his legs into a split. Yuri and Wucro stood on either side of their partner, each grabbing an ankle with both hands. They looked at each other with a serious, focused expression.
The pair breathed in unison. After a count, they both hopped off the floor, hanging on to Valko's limbs. They made sure to make delicate, slow, continuous movements, to not throw off the acrobat's balance. The contortionists faced each other as they used Valko's legs like a balancing beam. They both raised their legs and bent their backs, until they managed to touch the soles of their feet together, completing a beautiful formation. Valko remained focused through the applause and whistling, keeping himself steady.
Both contortionists had a satisfied smile, and once the cheering died down, they began getting off Valko as delicately as they did when getting on. Both of them planted their feet on the ground at the same time, giving the red acrobat the chance to rest his arms and stand on his feet again. Valko had a smile as they got ready for their next trick. The three of them hopped behind the platform to grab more items. They all grabbed two plastic, colorful rings each. They were small, made for fitting their arms through them. In addition to that, Valko also grabbed an elaborate prop. On one end, there was a mouthpiece, attached to two shoulder pads. Valko wore it, inserting the mouthpiece and placing the shoulder pads properly. He then kneeled, one foot on the rola-bola board.
The prop extended up, a reinforced rod making an upward curve above the acrobat's head. Attached to that rod, were two other mouthpieces, one above the other, with a generous amount of space between them. Wucro kneeled behind Valko, and Yuri stood on his shoulders again. That boost in height allowed the blond contortionist to take the mouthpiece at the top into his mouth. Valko focused to remain steady, as the contortionist bent his back for a Marinelli bend. Wucro followed suit, taking the remaining mouthpiece and getting into a Marinelli bend as well. The shoulder pads helped Valko sustain the weight of both of his partners, but his mouth was all he had to maintain balance.
The three performers held one ring in each hand. The black-haired human focused as he ascended, standing with his legs straight. The trio held their arms out to the side, and Valko stepped his other foot on the board above the cylinder. With one push, the acrobat began balancing on it, the board barely tilting from side to side. To finish it off, the performers began spinning the rings they had on their wrists. The crowd exploded at that point, some of them had their mouths wide open. Valko soon stopped the balancing act, letting the board touch the floor again. He stopped spinning the rings around and kneeled. Wucro got off first, kneeling behind Valko so Yuri could use him as a stepping stone to get down.
Once all three were down, they put away the rings and Valko took off his gear. Wucro then took the center of the stage, putting one foot in the center of the rola-bola board and balancing on it. He raised his free leg, moving it behind his head and lowering it down his back. After that, he bent backward, reaching for the edges of the board for a handstand. That allowed him to get his other leg down his back, without using his hands. Next, he lowered his body, laying his chest flat against the board, still holding on to the edges. Finally, he tightened his backbend, showing off his favorite pose.
Valko moved behind the ape, gripping his hips with both hands. At first, he did a regular handstand. Then, the black-haired human bent his legs, one over the other in a lotus. The acrobat's arms were bent, allowing Yuri to step on them, helping the blond contortionist lift himself. He gripped Valko's knees, pulling off a handstand using them as support. Yuri did a backbend, tucking his feet behind his armpits. After that, the crowd cheered. The applause only became fiercer once the primate released the edges of the board, balancing that entire stack using only his chest. It lasted for a few seconds, but the ape held the board again. Yuri dropped from Valko's knees, and the green-eyed performer untangled his legs and got off as well. Finally, Wucro got off the board, undoing the complicated bend. The board and cylinder were removed from the stage as the trio gathered the props for their grand finale.
Valko grabbed a small stand. One end was thin and square-shaped, the other was a block for the performer to grip and perform a handstand on. The acrobat attached the thin end to a hole in the platform, off to the right side. He made sure it was secure and didn't wobble. Wucro grabbed two things, a small bottle, and a small unicycle. This unicycle was special, as it didn't have a seat. Instead, it had a mouthpiece where one would be. He set his items aside on the left side of the platform. Finally, Yuri grabbed a bow and a blunt-tipped arrow.
Wucro took hold of Yuri's items for him to prepare. First, Valko gripped the stand with one hand and raised the other straight up. He then lifted one leg off the platform and waited for Yuri. Wucro kneeled, and the blue-eyed contortionist used his knee as a boost to get on top of his partner's body. He first stood on Valko's side, but then grasped his hand and lifted his feet into the air, in a one-armed handstand. The weight of Yuri's body allowed the red acrobat to raise his other leg off the floor. His body was now T-shaped, though he bent his legs to maintain balance. Wucro handed the bow and arrow to Yuri, who grabbed it with his feet. With a backbend, he was now ready to aim and fire, though there was no target yet.
The primate moved to the left side of the platform. He set the bottle between his feet. The cap was a bit loose, and it was empty. Next, he bent forward, setting the unicycle upright. He took the mouthpiece in his mouth and grabbed the pedals with his hands. With one jump, the primate lifted his feet and the bottle high in the air. His rear was close to his head, in a Marinelli-style bend with his legs pointing up. His feet pressed against the sides of the bottle, keeping it steady and upright. He moved back and forth on the unicycle as he idled. The primate managed to keep the bottle mostly still, tilting his body as he balanced on the unicycle. The crowd held their breaths as the blue contortionist prepared to take the shot. A few seconds of silence later, the arrow was fired. It hit the very side of the bottle cap, and everyone saw that tiny plastic thing spinning and flying off the bottle.
The spectators erupted in uproarious applause, some of them even got off their seats. Valko placed his feet back on the floor and helped Yuri get down. The primate swung his legs back down to the floor and left the unicycle as he joined the other two at the front of the platform. The three of them held hands as they smiled and bowed in appreciation. They did it many times, happy their show was a success. The trio ran off backstage, excited to talk about the show. On the way, they passed by a blue frog who was putting on a skin-tight, shiny suit, to follow up on the trio's act. The show was a success, and would be in the crowd's mind for a long time.
