"Was it worth it, in the end?"

As he sat there, slowly bleeding out and choking on his blood,
he contemplated his decision.

Blood slowly drips on the floor.

There is a certain sense of irony,
that after all the things he has done,
that after all the sacrifices and all the choices he has made;

He ended up here, clutching his sword in his final moments.

"Is it worth it?", he asked again.

The hall replied in silence.

Maybe there is no answer, after all.
