After digging around for a while in the jungles of Ixalan, it seems as though Salvatez has managed to uncover some manner of ancient artifact! A very fetching crown imitating the appearance of Aclazotz, the bat deity of night spoken of by the natives as being the enemy of the Immortal Sun. Having affixed itself to the vampire Cleric's brow... worryingly, it doesn't seem to want to be removed.
The lesson here is to always remember to check items for curses BEFORE you wear them. Unless you actually want to end up cursed into some manner of inhuman anthropomorphic bat creature!

MedievalWerewolf for his stunning design of the artifact on show here! I knew he could do monsters well, but it turns out he's also very skilled in shaping malevolent magical items.
