-the switch is no longer backwards
-tried making Drox's expression more clear (it's supposed to be a relaxed smile)

i don't think i could make a good tutorial, it feels like i'm winging it a lot of the time for basically everything i do. and background perspective is difficult! i'm still getting the hang of it.
semi-recently i saw these pages from the zootopia artbook, that i felt were helpful in drawing inanimate objects in scenes. makes it a little more fun?
first page
second page
sorry the text gets illegibly small, i couldn't find any larger scans of them. i liked the pointers on keeping things clustered in groups to create a kind of shape flow.
that kind of ties in with spacing things in general, like characters and their poses too. try to keep them from overlapping too much, so their silhouette is still readable. also it feels nicer to have their shapes sort of slot into the negative space. like, for example, if you take Deggy (the character holding the tray with coffee), and move them closer to Fox, you could see that deggy's current pose+shape fits into Fox's current silhouette. the same goes for fox's elbow+chest and drox's elbow+knee, as well as Drox's tail and Fox's leg.
idk if it makes much sense when i describe it like that, but paying attention to placement like that while drawing helps to give the overall image some semblance of "flow", i think.
ahah, anyway um, thanks for asking me, but yeah i'm really not the right person to make a tutorial.
i do like talking about art and giving pointers though, so if you want, maybe we could add each other on discord?

Just came across your art, pretty awesome! Then I found this piece and couldn't help but think about something else. You win a cookie if you get the quote, lol. My apologies by the way, old reference is old.
"Five seconds to go here at Superbowl 17. Dolphins trailing the 49ers by 1. This will win the game for Miami.. There's the snap.. Moreno holds.. The kick.. And it's wide, it's no good! Oh no! Ray Finkel blew a 26-yard field goal! I don't believe it! The Dolphins lose! The Dolphins lose! The Dolphins lose the Superbowl!"
