I think you're reading too much into it... Cindy's OT is just a kid that's still learning how to be a trainer. By the moment, he thinks big pokemon = strong pokemon and since Cindy is not big, he didn't use her as much in battle. Cindy doesn't dislike her OT but also she recognizes he's currently not very good at battling, so she's happy knowing she was traded to someone that'll train her properly!

That was my intention from the beginning but I guess it was no clear, I've issues translating my ideas to English comics since it's not my first language but this is definitely a learning experience.
