Here's a rather metal song for a change.
I've been listening to AI lately (they have the bottom banner ad quite a bit)
and I wanted to try a vocal distortion

lyrics:
he finds good things to say
beat back and break away
fake hustle games we pray
but no consistency, NO!
knuckles turning red
pounding their way into his head
pleasures got taken by the side
falling without warning the crash coming
and then the pain
I can’t find a piece astray
miles walked, not miles gained
bring us back into the day
captain search for the away,
and on to kyrie
he finds good things to say
beat back and break away
fake haste in games we pray
(build into shriek)
but no consistency, NO!
knuckles turning red
pounding their way into his head
pleasures got taken by the side
falling without warning the crash coming
and then the pain
I can’t find a piece astray
miles walked, not miles gained
bring us back into the day
captain search for the away,
and on to kyrie
(instrumental break)
I can’t find a piece astray
miles walked, not miles gained
bring us back into the day
captain search for the away,
and on to kyrie

I dunno. I got used to all types of shrieks, screeches and yelling. Probably damaged my vocal chords in doing so, but I don't get really any pain from making my voice harsh like that anymore. It's actually like on automatic mode now, and I can easily switch back and forth the screeching and my normal boring voice.
See, I watched you for the Folk rock, but after watching you you submit something like this? I'm impressed and loving it. I like your other stuff to, but this is just awesome, what with the guitar tone and the distortion parts. Your voice through it also strangely enough reminds me slightly of David Bowie, and I'm in no way sure why...
Ah, simply satanic (that's a compliment for metal, am I right?)
You brought your voice in there at the beginning from a electric-like tone to a standard one extremely well~ each time really!
I'm quite sad that I don't have access to my good headphones and speakers right now, because I feel as if I'm missing quite a bit~ but I can hear that your vocal harmonies are still as awesome as ever and "onto kyrie", are you trying to look for the lord? Interesting twist, I should totally write a kyrie now that I think about it~

I gots to mix it up! hmmm what to do next.... I'm thinking about writing a character piece called "the Artist" I'm always dazzled by the visual arts, and having no talent of my own in that field I think it'd be cool to write an appreciation piece. "images woven of dreams fall onto the page like so much water, swept and smeared by the brush, carving into the paper a new existence. He etches sun-swept fantasies in graphite. Oh how we long to touch, to gleam the brilliance of his mastery, nimble fingers spiral heaven. We're all fallen. We're all fallen." okay lyrics-gasm
This song uses kyrie as a it were location or place...what does kyrie mean in the context of this composition?
That could go a long way in aiding my slow process of dissecting possible meanings of things
which brings up the fact that I really need to sharpen my mind, you got a mind sharpener,
they don't seem to sell them at OfficeMax :P
Bolded for the distinction of relevant inquiry from excess babble.

The interpretation that came to me today
was this:
he finds good things to say
beat back and break away
Our narrator wittily uses flattery and
other sly contrivances to disperse
Those that are critical of him
And or those that are concerned
fake hustle games we pray
but no consistency, NO!
it is noticed though he is not at alright
And it is hoped that this is just say,
Some kind of phase but probably
It is not , he's unhinged
He is entirely too engrossed
And he's chaotic and erratic
knuckles turning red
pounding their way into his head
pleasures got taken by the side
falling without warning the crash coming
and then the pain
This man's erratic life is tearing him up
He is all consumed and soaring to high
And he's bound to crash...and time and again
He does crash and crash hard
I can’t find a piece astray
miles walked, not miles gained
In all his tumultuous life he cannot find
what what is looking for whatever it is
that he is missing that he is trying to find
In his way of living...and the journey
is leaving him exhausted,
tense and exasperated
and it counterproductive
He has gained nothing. He has not found
Can't find what he's looking for
bring us back into the day
captain search for the away,
and on to kyrie
A hopeful counter-current
[CAPTAIN] He's hoping
to bring his lost ship to port,
that is he desires to find
peace and security,
He seeks certainty and asylum
And perhaps God then is the answer
Faith will be his safe-home
Faith will be his secure tether
Faith will be his compass
Faith will bring him back into the day
Into the light denied him previously
by his hard living
