Getting pets may help with the melting problem

If you want pets, maybe try getting some nice fish. They could swim or at least wiggle around in the slime for a while. If the other kind of pets, I'd love to pet an oozing deer.

Do bluebells melt when they're tired? Imagining a pool of slime just resting underneath a pile of bones. Hopefully that will come out of the bedding.

I don't know why people wouldn't want to pet bluebell, though. I'd volunteer! The texture must be quite unique. I mean, there is the whole "might try to digest you" thing, but that'd depend on which one you encountered.

As for the idea of actually OWNING pets, can she get attached to them? If not, maybe she could pretend to be a pet owner for a while, but when hungry, they could become a convenient snack.
