I guess I got a small "creativity sprint" today :P
I've watched some videos related to "Monster Hunter" recently and that got my creative juices flowing and this guy got made as a result.
The Vulcanic Drake is a distant relative to True Dragons. It posesses an aggressive nature and will attack anything that enters its' territory. It's an ambush predator, concealing itself in areas with vast amounts of vulcanic rocks, which its' armor resembles.

In battle it primarily uses biting, stomping and tail attacks, though it can also shoot large balls of fire from it's maw. It can also create a field of molten earth, which it uses to replenish its' magical energy. Vulcanic Drakes can recover energy when exposed to fire magic. As such, when they remain withing the area of effect of their own "Molten Earth" they passively regain small amounts of magic energy while at the same time staying out of their opponents' melee range.

Unlike True Dragons, they are not sapient and are closer to actual wild animals in terms of intelligence and self-awareness.
