Cassie has a pet alligator that is her best friend in the world. She loves him dearly and he's always lumbering around in the swampy forest behind her trailer home. He's always willing to sit and listen to her when she's got to talk to someone close. His name is Keith.

I like the sense of interaction between them (almost seems like the alligator conveys some sense of empathy for her if it’s possible for them to feel and show that), but I think Cassie’s expression shows very clearly. I felt you did a really nice job on the coloring, particularly the creases of the bandana as well as the lighting shading of it. The tones of the color work really well for the mood of this piece too which do a really nice job of emphasizing it.

Thank you! I am glad you think that Keith looks like he's empathetic, because I was trying to subtly put that in, in the way a simpleminded lizard monster could be. I just realized tho, she'd have to have some guns on her to actually hold him up like that... foodog magic. That's it >>
Actually, some people are stronger than they look so maybe it’s not entirely foodog magic there. On top of that, though an adult gator may weigh a lot, I kinda assumed he wasn’t entirely suspended (as in a good portion of his weight is still resting on the ground on top of the fact that the weight is distributed vertically rather than spread out horizontially). I think the idea is still believable given those ideas whereas if she were to lift him over her head with one hand would have to be foodog magic entirely.
So yeah, I think it still works and doesn’t scream I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!! *TABLE FLIP!* or anything. :P
