Those old cars are all bark. Poke one with your modern and secure vehicle and watch as its driver is screaming (not muffled because no airbag) as carbon monoxyde slowly creeps in and the asbestos frame deteriorates before their eyes.
Unless the driver is a fat fuck, in which case the impact can be cushioned. Almost all classic car drivers are fat fucks anyway. Just worry about insurance payments.

I don't think a pick-up that old would be damaged to this extent by a normal car. The metal on those old trucks is twice or thrice as thick as the metal on a newer car. I saw a '47 GMC get smashed aside by a next-to-new Western Star big rig and although it got damaged badly (at least on the outside), it still looked fixable. If anything, the newer car would probably in much worse shape.
Plus those old trucks are all metal and a newer car, especially a Japanese one, is more plastic than metal.
