Well, here I am again trying out my camera to see if I can take pictures of smaller things. And... so far it's still going about 50-50. Anyway, here are three of my character models from my Imperial Guard line.
Leftmost is Katarina Friez, Hauptcaptain and senior officer of my Hardened Veterans... when they could have a senior officer. Now she's just their sergeant.
Middle is Rocket Girl
Rightmost is my Demo-charge carrying Hardened Veteran. Her face is kinda... meh, but that's the model. The casting was kinda flat, and so her face looks smooshed.
Anyway, more of these in a bit.

Anime heads often have proportions more resembling that of a fetus skull than anything else, or otherwise a very, very "young" appearance, proportions wise in the face. In general, anyways, some shows I know have more realistic faces and it varies widely on the art style of the show.
For warhammer figurines, well, they aren't sculpted as anime-style heads so painting them with anime proportions (Wide-set and very large eyes) are going to look a little funny. The figure on the right suffers the most from this.
But, you don't necessarily have to repaint them nor get rid of the anime proportions at all, I think if you simply made the irises/pupils (the black part either way) bigger, you'd get something still anime-ish but would probably look a little better.

Sort of like this. Maybe the one on the right's eyes should be repainted entirely, I'm not sure, but just widening the dark parts of the eyes would probably do them a world of good.
What are these figures, anyways? I don't think I've ever seen them before.

((Well, I'm not in the mood to really repaint any of the guys I've already painted. I've got so much of a backlog, I'd rather just keep them with their... obnoxiously big eyes. It adds character to them anyway.
Okay, the one on the left is from the Mordheim series. She was the Vampire Assassin. I thought she looked awesome, so I picked her up, gave her an olive-drab dress, and glued on one of the old Stormtrooper backpacks, and a plastic bolter.
The center one is Rocket Girl, from Schaffer's Last Chancers.
The one on the right is Dr. Diana from Warzone. Her face is kinda smushed, so... I don't think repainting it is going to help anyway.))
