Shogun Warriors Godzilla

This one was rather timely. Towards the end of September, I was at an antique mall. One of the first things I see is one of the granddaddies of Godzilla collectibles, the 1977 Shogun Warriors Godzilla! He was at a price that literally made me say, “I’m never going to see a deal like this ever again.” He’s a chonker, too. But surprisingly light. I’m in love with it, even though I generally like smaller collectibles.

But you came here for art, not toy reviews. I wanted to mix things up some by using the Taotree pens my sister got me a couple years ago for linework. It might look black, but I used a dark green for the overall body, and the claws and teeth were done in brown. (The only time I used black was to color the eye and inside of the mouth. And that was done with Faber-Castells.) Then it was a simple marker coloring with a pair of greens and a yellow to color him.
