This is a little thing I made about a year ago just to prove a point to a couple people on how you don't actually need to go out and buy an anvil right away to start smithing.
You really just need to set a sledge hammer into a stump (preferably a large and heavy one) and use that.
The hole was drilled, burnt out and then chiseled in. The head of the hammer was set in with saw dust and superglue.
I don't remember if I posted this before. I looked all over my gallery and it ain't there

The funny chisel-looking one is not a chisel. It's not really important for regular smithing, it's a sheet metal working tool that one uses to form sheet into container over. The other one is a bick, beck, beak, horn. It is the horn you'd see on an anvil. That can easily be forged on the sledge anvil.
If you do go about this, I do recommend looking videos on how to forge a bick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKSpZ5tkZik&ab_channel=BlackBearForge This is a good video and one of my favourite smiths on youtube.

From the video you linked, I watched the guy form the beak/horn. It was a slow process without excessive ringing of hammer and showers of sparks. Very direct, down to earth, and easy to follow. Hollywood's depiction of blacksmithing actually obscures the process, so it's no wonder my impressions of the craft have been skewed over the years.
The ringing and sparks aren't really hollywood. It's actually part of the entire thing, the only reason why his anvil doesn't ring is because he has it firmly secured to the mount. If it was loose, it would ring like a bell. Sparks come off a lot, because the steel has hot bits of oxidation that pop off of it called "scale" it's basically rust that is formed from the excessive heat of the forge.
