When last we left off, Eclair and Mort arrived at the town of River Veil, where they disocvered signs of shadow creature activity: the people were exhausted and sleep-deprived. With that in mind, Eclair had a busy night before her.
After booking a room at the inn, she started crafting candles for the townsfolk; the exact type of candles she used when the shadow creatures were attacking her. Once the enough candles were ready, she'd distribute them among the people of River Veil. Unable to feed on them, the shadow creatures would be drawn out of their hiding spots and then Eclair and Mort would swoop in and deal with them. At least, that was the plan. We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.

The way this is turning out, Eclair's story might end up being a +/- weekly project; further parts of the story will be posted every week or so with other stuff mixed inbetween .
