Sometimes a group of boyfriends just want to settle down for an afternoon nap pile.
Like I said in the last thing I did of western!Avin...He's got a couple of handsome non-human boyfriends...and I was long overdue in drawing something of all of them.
The snake and gyrfalcon both belong to a buddy, as is the same for their other incarnations.
The snake, a copperhead/constrictor, is a doctor known creatively to most as simply 'Doc'. One of the best doctors in the Outwest, who isn't afraid to kill or harm those who try to do the same to his patients. Without his intervention, Avin and Zak both would have died long before their times, in exceptionally painful and traumatic ways.
The gyrfalcon, Zak, is a talented clockwork engineer and prosthetic designer. Circumstances also lead to him becoming one of the more talented marksmen in the Outwest, though the fact that he still has morals put him at odds with most others in the profession. Despite the accolades, his importance to Avin is simply that he saved the wayward rancher's life...in a more metaphorical way than Doc had.
