It comes with practice. There's that feeling of "Christ! I killed another one!!" to overcome, but once you have, taking stuff to a higher level of polish becomes easier. Keep at it!

Naw its not a matter of practice or that it comes easier, its just that after I get a thought out, I can't really be buggered to put color on it. I think 5 years of art school finally made me burn out on 'polish', since I'm not trying to impress anybody.

Maybe I've been doing this too long. I hadn't thought of taking stuff to a finish as an effort to impress folks, though I can see how it could be true; some people just like showing off their chops.

If you're just doing this for fun, then keep at it and more power to you. ;)

This whole gallery is more or less for laughs, the majority of my 'real artwork' is sculptural or animated, both are things that don't really lend themselves well to websites like this. Mostly all the sketches here are for fun or more like a quick sketch journal. Showing off is done in real life, entertainment is done on the internet.

I, for one, would love to see sculptural work you've done, or animations for that matter. Sculpting's one of those crafts I've never touched on but often wondered about.
