Although Aquatic Zergs are those of aquatic environment, they are focused on adapting with genomes of crustacean animals regardless of anything. That's why infested Lava Crabs came to be, being related to other crab species one way or another. With unusual traits these ones became decent counterattack when enemy destroys the Aquatic Zerg structures, expecting for the enemy using fire at usual.

Aquatic Zergs managed to infest some members of oldest animal species on Earth. The Jellyfishes. This resulted in an infested animals growing large like humans and becoming able to float outside water no one knows how long. The animal's structural anatomy also caused unusual traits that makes the creature difficult to kill despite of its fragile body.
