Lavendershine rose from her nest in the nursery. She wanted to go to the warrior's den to pick up her companion. She wanted some togetherness before she becomes even more rounded and can no longer walk well, her kits were still unborn. She ran across the glade towards the warrior's den, there she slipped into it and went to the nest of Darkfrost. Tenderly she nudged the cat to wake him up. The brown tabby tomcat stretched and was pleased to see his mate. "Let's do something before the kits get even bigger and I can't move that well." Darkfrost purred in amusement. The two left the warrior´s den towards the camp exit.

They walked a short distance when Lavendershine discovered an inviting bush “Come on, let's take a break here”. Darkfrost agreed and the two lay down under the bush, snuggled up against each other and giving tongues. "Maybe we should hunt a bit before we go home." said Darkfrost. Lavenders Shine nodded in agreement. After a while, the two of them got up, with Lavendershine having a hard time. When she was back on her feet, they sniffed for prey and also found a mouse trail pretty quickly.

Lavendershine signaled Darkfrost and crouched down. She hoped she didn't have to run so much to get the prey. Fortunately for her, the mouse happened to run into her paws and she could grab and kill her with ease. For his part, Darkfrost looked into the distance of the heather and nearby a hare was still hopping calmly, mumbling on the grass. The tabby jumped off and raced at full speed towards the rabbit. Before he knew what was going to happen to him, he was torn down by the hangover and killed with a bite in the neck. The two buried their prey under the tree. Then Lavendershine nudged Darkfrost playfully and he nudged back with his paw. Then Lavendershine pushed him with the side, which he stumbled briefly and ran forward, so that Darkfrost had to quickly get hold of himself and jumped behind. He quickly caught up with and overtook her so that he could stand in her way. Played shocked, Lavendershine slowed down and stood up so that she was sitting on her back legs. Darkfrost jumped up to her, clutched her gently around the neck and knocked her over so that the Lavendershine landed softly on Darkfrost. "Our little ones are pretty heavy," he complained. His companion purred: "They will one day become strong warriors, just like you." The brown tabby licked her face happily.

Together they ran through the heather, sniffing extensively for more prey. Suddenly a fox stood in front of the two. Lavendershine moved closer to her companion. She could still defend herself, even if she is no longer so flexible. Nevertheless she had to fight, a fox could be dangerous for the clan.

But this in turn drove her claws over the fox's snout. He tried to get rid of Dark Frost by shaking it. The warrior only bit harder and struck his claws into the fox's sides. The fox took a tear and dragged Darkfrost with him for a while, this jumped off the brute and returned to Lavendershine. He sniffed his companion extensively to see if he could smell blood, but found nothing.

Lavendershine meowed reassuringly: “I'm really fine, he didn't get me”. Darkfrost was happy that nothing really happened to her. And so they fetched their prey and ran back to the camp to inform their leader.
