I was tempted to call this picture "another random fox", yet this character isn't so random actually... In the late 90's, I was imagining another story (aside my "Ratopolis Project") involving the characters of the old French story "Le Roman de Renart" occurring on 2 or 3 generations in a timeline very close to the Modern History (with a little narrow link with the dystopian Ratopolis "universe" at the end). So here is Romuald Renart, Comte de Maupertuis, wealthy aristocratic fox with some military background. In my mind, he was probably born in the early 1880's and died in the late 1950's... He got married a very short time and got 2 children after World War II.
If you are wondering why I have decided to draw and post a picture of a character created more than two decades ago, the reason is that I have bought a new computer Saturday (an "expensive one", with a SSD disk and 16 Go of RAM + Window$ 10, involving Bill Gates's nano-robot inside) and I usually use the nickname "Maupertuis" or "Malpertuis" as a login... So I was feeling like creating a nice little avatar for the occasion.
- EDIT 07/05/2024 - My Pατяεoη link is actually hidden in a question mark of the 𝟙𝟘𝟘𝟘ᵗʰ submission !
