So I don't know how this came about. I was rewatching the scene where Zira gave Kovu his scar and the scene always stood out to me, because I loved its concept, but its execution seemed to fall a bit flat.

I loved the anger in Kovu's eyes, but I felt it could have used some more hatred.

I'm not sure if you could consider this a TLK 2 redraw, but I wanted to try out my take on that scene with the focus on Kovu's eyes. I wanted to add a slightly bit of blood as well as tears in his eyes, since they're natural from seeing Nuka die as well as bleeding over his eyes. I mostly wanted to experiment with the eye, adding more colors and effects to it, to show both hurt and rage in them. I also chose to leave out the highlight in his eyes to make them look darker and angrier.
