Sad thing is I rarely draw. I do sketches in rare random spurts in cases of extreme boredom. This only comes out when I take 7 hours doing a head sketch that involves tons of erasing. Anything else I do looks as crappy as the old version of this pic. :P

I used to draw all the time back in school. But that was WAAAAAY back in 2001-2005. I've lost interest since then.

I try to but my interest keeps slipping away plus there are only so many times you can rub something out before you start rubbing away paper or have one of those little lines that won't go away.

One thing I can suggest is get some card stock. Then when you sketch a line don't press the pencil tip into the paper just let it sort of "hover" so you lightly draw a line so it's easy to erase. Once you have a line you like then darken it. Do the same when you erase a line. Don't press, erase lightly in a circle pattern. This seems to work for me.

As for a pencil brand. Try Staples brand pencils. The erasers work great on them.

That's all I can really say. I need to practice some tutorials someone was nice enough to email so I can do more than just head shots.
