It was that moment when I stood across from her.
Together we had a cup of tea under the evening sky, framed by fairy lights that were stretched over the market stalls.
Actually, we had just met casually for an evening to end.
We both just wanted to leave work behind, enjoy the delicacies of the Christmas season and chat.
I took her to one of the stands, ordered two mugs of the local tea an waited for the cups to be filled and placed on the wooden counter.
Gentleman like I was, I wanted to pay and reached into my left pocket for that.
To my horror, my wallet wasn't there.
I patted my jacket in a panic, but calmly so that she didn't suspect anything.
I finally found the purse in my right pocket, and when I reached for it, I couldn't help but looking at her from the side.
Either it was due to the Christmas mood, the time of day, or something else.
But her fur seemed to be more shiny as usual, as if she had an aura around her that cast a spell over me.
The knocking of the cups on the wooden counter tore me out of this daydream.
I paid immediately, put my wallet in my usual left pocket and divided the drinks between us.
At first my gaze flew over the crowd of people wandering around, talking, having fun and enjoying their lives.
It wasn't until a few moments later that I noticed her eyes were resting on me.
Our eyes met, and as I slowly lost myself in those beautiful eyes, she sipped her cup.
A moment that could have lasted forever...
