Holy shnikies I actually got this done! Been itching to start art trades so I wanted to get this out of the way first.
Not that there's anything actually new here besides maybe some speculation how they look naked. Not exactly your typical anthro, eh? >:T
Lol I'd rather not speculate about the skeletal structure with only one leg and such. Argh my brain hurts

The "not a HIM but in fact a THEM" bit up there reminds me of the scene in Hellraiser: Bloodline, where the twin cenobytes merge together while there's one guy between them.
I like those guys. I dunno why, maybe because of the german name?
I also totally dig the way you designed their mouths/beaks. It's pure genius.

Oh damn! I've been intending to watch those films 8C That sounds pretty gruesometastic.
Heehee, I'm a dork for German (noun-)based names. XP
And thanks! I'm quite proud of that idea... Sometimes I wonder if I should've given these guys noses but it would be so impractical what with the combination of a beak and such...

Honestly, I think they're good the way they are. They'd look silly with a nose.
And I can only recommend the Hellraiser movies. Well, one through four. the fourth was supposed to be the last one, but then someone decided to dig out the license and make some more. Number five through eight stray far from the original Hellraiser. They're more the modern kind of confusing horror movies where you can't tell what's going on for real and what not. They're not horribly bad mind you... well, maybe the last one which reminds me more of a teeny slasher flick than anything else.
But they're worth watching if you like chains and hooks and people being torn apart by them. Von Geier's would have fun cleaning up that mess.

Always a good move, if only because it's such an awesome film.
Really, comparing your character to the spirits of Spirited Away is one of the highest compliments I can pay. It's supposed to be a kid's movie but it has some amazing depth and poetry behind its fairy-tale storyline.

Tiger and Bonkers, Kid and Baloo, even the Nephews are doin' it tooo, they're doin' the no pants daaaance. They're doin' the no-pants daaaance, doo-bee-doo-bee-doo-yaah, the no pants daaaance, no pants, no pants!
Donald and Daisy, whataya crazy? Maybe just pants ain't for everyone!

Dohoho <3 Comments like these make me feel all fuzzy like the vultures' fluffy feather collar, lol.
Perhaps I ought to watch Inception? The premise seems interesting enough!
And I originally watched Dark City since people commented on how my vulture guys looked familiar, hahaha. I looked up pictures of the Strangers and I was like OMG. I basically just updated PvG's hats to look like those on the Strangers, lol. Though I could still see them wearing those ol' bowler hats... or even top hats... Those would look cool. Something like this: http://www.mayflower.org.uk/shows/2.....y07_news19.jpg
Also silly trivia - I originally got the idea for these guys when I was listening to Alan Parsons Project's song "Psychobabble" on a train, haw haw. I think they had glowy eyes and menacing grins.
Boy have they changed! They were just creepy humanoids, now they're a fairly even blend of humanoid and animal features, which is something I'm very pleased with. I love these guys.
Can't go wrong with a CROP. (However I still wonder where they keep their suitcases... weird hammerspace birdmen...)

Ooooh, I see. XD I will have to check it out, then!
And fff I agree wholeheartedly. Just, say, drawing a dog and colouring it green; it's all fine and dandy and all but it isn't creatively stimulating for me. Of course, I tend to have a bias towards humanoid beings (because I am human and I like humans like how Scott McCloud would put it) but I've tried exploring more "alien" beings that are radially symmetrical and that have no limbs or instead have extra limbs... That's right people, there's a larger variety of animals on earth than just mammals. (I also blame some biologist friends for influence heheh)
Oh and to be honest ... giving them a single leg was just a random thing I thought would look fun and weird, but then, since they move by hovering ominously (or flying), it doesn't really make a difference how many legs they have...
People have also offered some input regarding how that single leg could work anatomically:
http://www.unowen.net/tegaki/dblog......&e=1109528 this one's great
http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/.....cted/ranko.jpg but this is even better.
Needless to say I'm flattered by how helpful people can be when I'm struggling with something seemingly impossible. XD Though these guys are still defying laws of physics in many ways (LIKE OH THAT FLOATING THING lol) ...
And d'awww I love inspiring people ffff <3

Thinking (too much prolly lol) on some comments I saw up there, the skeletal structure when it came to only having one leg would be simple and interesting. The femur bone would most likey be semi-connected to the start of the few tail bones that birds have. almost like a second tail if you will. That way, the body would be centered and have decent balance on one leg. (thats why humans can't stand on one foot for very long, unbalanced because the foot is on one side of the body and not centered)
I'm loving the design of this character, you've done a good job with them
