I actually wonder if Jinjur is Koz's target. He clearly went out of his way to pull the lady in on this, which if he was trying to actually assassinate someone would be counterproductive.

Koz remembers that Keela almost got court-martialled for trying to kill Jinjur when she was working for The Black Watch. He figured she'd like to be in on the kill. They both hate Jinjur with a searing passion and he thought it would make a great bonding moment for them and possibly win Keela back. Or at least get him into her pants.
Cathy is already winning the crowd over, even before it's begun. That's a good start and the more I see of Songween's wisdom, the more I like her. I like how you've used a thicker line to cut the scene to Koz. He's almost acting like 007. Good thinking using the sock as a cushion for the elbow.
