Rico is one of the main characters in my fantasy story. He is a magpie. A talking magpie. And probably he’s one of the cutest animals you can meet ^^.
This is the first bird I’ve ever drawn. I’m quite satisfied with the head. But I think the rest of the body could be better :).
This was a little bit like a competition. We’ve agreed with
Red-Izak to make the same drawing of my magpie ^^. You can see her version of Rico here:

Compare and say what who’s version is better xD.

I like both drawings though, but its very dificult to say who of both is "better".
I see its a european magpie and you both draw quite accurate. Although the feathers in your drawing seem a little more correct but its very close.
Although you both seem to draw an "eye ridge" I dont see that in the real bird though.
Here let me give some examples:

So I cant really judge between you both because I think you both draw just great
oh and perhaps for others who want to know a bit of background about magpies:

Thank You very much for the comment ^^
That eye ridge. You mean the temple? Well... As a reference I used this photo:

I must admit that different magpies can have some differences. Maybe I could have made it a bit more fluidly but now it's too late for any changes ^^.
Anyway thanks again for such a complex the comment ^^
