Somehow I knew it was WoW related in the preview.

The gun design is based on the guns in the game and I aimed for the exaggerated WoW style with the flared barrel end, clunky design and attached blades.

Nice work but when i played alliance and did that quest i never got killed by hogger x3

Hogger didn't get his reputation for nothing. For everyone one player that killed him, ten died at his paws.

Oh yes, I spent a lot of time on this, although I did all the colouring today. The hard bit was figuring out the correct lighting and detail with the majority of the light behind him.

yeah I hear ya! I just started experimenting with digital coloring and....found myself talking over 15hrs of work since I kept struggling with lighting

I think I got one or two characters with a tally higher than zero....not on my warlock of course. She's too awesome to die by Hogger.

You need a battle.net account to opt in for the Beta. It hasn't started yet and I don't know if you need WoW on your account to get into Beta.

While making this I was thinking up the abilities Hogger would have as a 85 raid boss. Hogger would be so hard that you don't DPS him, but the rocket pack on his back. Oh, and for hard mode Hogger equips a rocket launcher along with his other weapons.

Awesome picture. Still i fell, that Deathwing is tremendiously evil by doing simple things too. He don't need gadgets to be badass!

He needed the Demon Soul to kick the other dragon's arses during the first invasion by the Burning Legion. Oh, and he needed the goblin's help to keep his body together with the ultra strong armour plating as his body was being torn apart by the repeated use of the Demon Soul.

Deathwing's most powerful allies are still the Old Gods...He sees everything and everyone as a tool. I think He is cunning to utilize everything He can to master all challanges. For instance:
In normal mose you could duel the true Neltharion, but in Heroic He would had His Ultra-Epic-Legendery Item set of armor...no chance for any raid! I would also build in riddcuously strong abilities, so one false move would cost you the try, and all would be wiped out...See Archimonde's Finger of Death. something similar would be so cool. If one raid memebr is not prepared, or makes a mistake...better luck next time. I would make Deathwing the most rewarding kill in the game, which would only the most skilled raid achive. I know it sucks out the fun of the raid, But Archimonde is also killable and has those oneshot abilities.

Those are giving Him quite the knowledge to cause havoc. - The Armour Plating and Demonsoul was just his "Epic Items"...He's badass without them.

No, I don't think he will ally himself to the Old Gods again. Although they where only voices in his head the first time, he disobeyed them during the first Burning Legion invasion when the Old Gods wanted him to throw the Demon Soul into the Well of Eternity. He may be open to the suggestion of the voices, but he is also utterly bat-shit insane and he's more interested in creating a new dragon flight to rule Azeroth.

I'm very aware of that. Red the books. Richard A. Knaak writes so well...not a single dull moment in the books.

very well done always good to see more of your style - which is ? ( graystyle? ) whatever it is it is a spectacular style., and the glow form his insides make it even more eerie

My style of drawing is very much like painting. My brush work is very expressive and I find it hard to draw clean line work, so I moved away from the bold lines to line-less paintings. I also like the sense of depth lighting and shading gives to an image and I enjoy painting in grey scale. Colour is a little harder, but it only requires a bit more thought when I do the grey scale.

I don't think I can comprehend that. An undead gnoll with lava for blood wearing black armour and equip with a belt fed blunderbuss, grenades and a rocket pack just doesn't do hugs.

Pfft, lies! Hogger never died, he just pretended to die so that the adventurer could turn in that quest, spurring him to get to level 80 and then partake in the raid against the Lich King. He now prepares to take the crown from the sealed good in a can and unleash a wave of evil and terror like none have seen before! D:<

HOGGER! the most extreme raid boss ever!... it is said that a guild attempts to raid him once a week starting Tuesday at noon and when they just about kill them the realms go down... Blizz simply claims its maintenance but this guild knows the truth.

I think a hardcore raid guild once thought against Hogger at the Argent Tournament raid during some event show casing it before that patch went live. He was so hard they couldn't beat him.

Nice. I would like to see him return, ready to take revenge on the humans and Stormwind. They need something else to do seeing how Van Cleef is dead.

Hogger: The new 5-man Heroic.

it would be better then blizzard deathwing to be honest... deathwing should be a living dragon looking but when i saw first time the transformers 2 was at movies and i thought deatwing was a member of decepticons rather then a wow dragon.. and everytime i saw its picture or art something in my mind says "now he will transform a strange airplane".

If you read any of the lore, you would know Deathwing has armour bolted onto him to stop himself from falling apart after repeated uses of the Demon Soul. He's a Dragon Aspect and the Earth Warden of Azeroth, as well as stark raving mad and has plans to create the ultimate Dragonflight and rule Azeroth with an iron fist. He's not the type to wear dainty silver armour with pictures of flowers on them.

Gamon got an uber buffing, so why not Hogger, eh? Or maybe Sarkoth (spelling?), imagine the newbies ragequitting... lol
Maybe you can convince Blizzard to put that in the game, hmm?... And nice artwork.
