Rayth was born to the Skyfire clan of eagles within the Azurian Empire. His father and mother were King Larin Skyfire and Queen Alindra Skyfire. King Larin was a black eagle while his mother the queen was a colorful Bateleur eagle. It was quite a surprise when they had their one and only child come out with feathers white as freshly driven snow but not an albino as his eyes shone a brilliant blue. Almost ghost like they named him after an undead spirit. The leucistic eagle boy was not expected to last past a year of his infancy but he surprised everyone as he grew and became a powerful and strong warrior.
Rayth grew up hearing tales of the God-Emperor and his son and all the truly heroic feats of courage and strength. He stayed up late nights reading the tomes of the Stormwings and really taking a shining to Eric who he idolized. It was these stories and tales, and the fact that he and Eric Stormwing were distantly related, that drove the young Rayth to push himself to his limits in order to one day meet his hero. He was elated when his family went to the capital of the empire and Rayth got to meet his hero in person. Eric was very noble and took a bit of a liking to his cousin. Rayth would sometimes spend entire summers training with Eric when time permitted and listened to him tell the stories that he had read but from a first hand accounting. Rayth began to imitate his cousins looks but he already looked very much like his cousin already so no real effort was needed.
When he was in his late teenage years, the call went out to all that the God-Emperor's son, Eric Stormwing, was holding tryouts to be part of the Storm Reavers. An elite squad of the best of the best in the Empire. The trials would be dangerous, deadly and unforgiving. Anyone who survived would have the honor of being in the Storm Reavers. Most everyone gave up rather then risk their lives. Those who proceeded and failed ended up battered and broken or dead. These trials tested the courage, resolve, strength and character of the participants and in the end only five individuals remained.
Rayth took the Storm Reaver test even though his father disapproved. Rayth however was determined to show his parents that he had what it took and nothing was going to stop him. He ended up passing the tests and by every right should have been inducted into the Storm Reaver's. However, he refused the position when the time came to present them to the people. He stated that he only wanted to prove that he was good enough to join and to show his hero, Eric, that he had what it took and thanked the Imperial Prince for everything he had taught him. Eric however swore that he should have a weapon worthy of a Storm Reaver and so a unique weapon was forged for his use and the title of Knight Commander bestowed upon him. Rayth returned to his own kingdom to protect it from its scourges but Eric would go to him in case his Storm Reaver's were too busy elsewhere and Rayth was the only one he trusted to get the job done in their absence.

Bio:
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bi-sexual
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 230 lbs
Feather color: White
Eye color: Blue
Appearance:
Rayth's uniform mimics his hero and cousin, Eric Stormwing, though his armored bits are colored black instead of red. He also sports a breastplate that Eric does not but wears the same color leotard as Eric does. He already looks like his cousin naturally so no real effort is spent in grooming himself to look like him. He has a strong athletic build and powerful toned musculature like his cousin.
Personality:
Like his cousin, Rayth is a noble and virtuous Azurian. However, even though he idolizes his cousin he does not seek to emulate him completely. He knows he is his own bird and does things as he sees fit. He can be a bit hot headed in a fight and has a intense desire to prove himself. This has somewhat waned though as he has grown older and after he passed the Storm Reaver test but he still pushes himself with a fierce determination in all things which has led many to label him as intense. He looks out for his people however and loves to play around with the younger kids when he is off duty, even teaching the common folk basic weapon skills.
Weaponry:
Rayth wields the double sword lance, Eldingar. Imbued by the God-Emperor himself with the powers of lightning most birdfolk are unable to handle such raw destructive power. Rayth however is quite adept at harnessing the power of the storm and uses it to maximum effect. Trained since he was young in this type of weapon, Rayth cuts through his enemy's like a whirling blade of destruction. The lance itself can be separated into two swords connected by a mystical chain that Rayth then can twirl around in a dance of electrical death.
