Nightlight and Starlyre are both autistic. But their personalities are very different in some ways. Starlyre is obsessed with everything being neat. In addition to being autistic, he probably has OCD. Nightlight, on the other hand, tends not to mind a mess. At least as long as she remembers where everything is.
When Nightlight makes a mess of his things, it sometimes ruins his day. When Starlyre tries to clean things up for Nightlight, the same thing can happen. Being autistic doesn't always help them get along. Sometimes they find themselves triggering each other in ways that neurotypicals might not.
Each of them desperately wants control over their environment. But they have some opposing ideas on what that means. When one tries to make the other's environment more friendly for themself, it might trigger a meltdown in the other.
Starlyre, who is slightly older, tends to be fairly mature these days. Unfortunately, interacting with other autistic people can sometimes re-trigger old habits. Neurotypicals often seem to follow more predictable patterns. On the other hand, each autistic person has to be learned individually.
Fortunately, Nightlight and Starlyre share a best friend who knows how to empathize with them. His name is White Night. He is Nightlight's big brother and Starlyre's key mentor. He knows a lot about how to de-escalate conflict — and make his friends feel big inside!

Visual Description:
Panel #1:
Talking bubble (speaker offscreen): "Nightlight and Starlyre, I understand you're both Aspies. Does that make it easier to get along?"
In a study, Nightlight and Starlyre rest on beanbags, each reading a book. They look up toward the viewers.
Panel #2:
Nightlight and Starlyre get up and talk, smiling toward the viewer.
Starlyre: Not necessarily. It's sometimes harder!
Nightlight: Each of us is full of surprises. And we can be bad at handling surprises!
Panel #3:
Nightlight: Once, I was borrowing Starlyre's books. I put everything away. But he acted like somepony died!
In front of a bookshelf, Nightlight carries a book with her horn. Clasping her hooves, Nightlight's eyes are rolled upward toward the right. She gives a nervous smile. Maybe she's trying to act innocent?
Meanwhile, Starlyre looks down in horror and dismay. Books are scattered around the floor, some of them forming little piles.
Panel #4a:
Starlyre: That's nothing. You should have seen Nightlight when I cleaned her room!
Panel #4b:
Nightlight's room is spic-and-span. Everything is tidily arranged.
Nightlight leans in toward Starlyre. She's in a fit of rage -- her mane now a blazing fire.
With his arms crossed, Starlyre nervously clings to a broom and feather duster (almost as if he's hugging them).
Panel #5:
A big explosion blows the windows out of Nightlight's cottage.
Panel #6:
Nightlight and Starlyre hug each other with one arm, looking sad and remorseful.
Nightlight: Each of us can be blind to the other's personal boundaries.
Starlyre: And sometimes it's hard to say what makes us so upset.
Panel #7a:
Nightlight: Of course, sometimes we're just selfish and inconsiderate. As people often are.
Panel #7b:
Nightlight stands in the charred remains of her room, which she blew up moments ago. She hangs her head and cries, facing toward Panel #7c (below). She seems to be looking toward Starlyre in Panel #7c.
Panel #7c:
Starlyre sits in the middle of his messed-up bookroom. In the panel is a messed-up bookshelf, a small table with books piled on it, and books lying around on the floor. Starlyre looks up in sadness, facing toward Panel #7b. He seems to be looking toward Nightlight in Panel #7b.
Panel #8a:
Nightlight (smiling again): In the end, my big brother is always watching over us!
Panel #8b:
White Night hugs both Nightlight and Starlyre. Nightlight and Starlyre are overjoyed, hugging him back.
Starlyre: White Night is neurotypical. And he's emotionally intelligent. He's my best friend!
Nightlight: And mine!
Panel #8c:
Starlyre: Sometimes I think neurotypicals follow more predictable patterns.
Nightlight: Whereas Aspies can be much harder to predict -- even for us!
Outside, Nightlight and Starlyre canter off with White Night.
In the background (in front of the cottage), Princess Skysparkle and Prince Endearment watch with big smiles.

A nice sharing of dichotomy between two characters who fall under the Autistic Spectrum. It is content, like this, that helps those not immersed in the world of those who fall under this condition that helps to break down walls put up by outdated stigmas and stereotypes.
A very nice job, Starburst. I applaud your efforts and am glad to see you pushing onward with them to not only make a great story, but advocate for a better world for all.

Sorry for delay in reply.
No, Peep did not read the comic. (I try to advocate for friends' work, even if I can't see it, by doing what I can to not directly share I'm 100% blind. It is not the best way to do things, but I believe in your idea and know you would have done a good job on the topic.)
Peep is spending more-and-more time with his friends, as he should. So I just try to do the 'parent' / 'adulting' things and let him know I'm here if he needs me.
