restrainedraptor who was kind enough to take the time to edit my poor photograph. Izzy is much more "viewable" now. Many Thanks Raptor! *hugs* :)
Izzy's gone wild! Don't ask me what's got into him. Perhaps he's just tired of people trekking through is desert and mucking up the place. Maybe the taxman got to him? Perhaps it's love gone horribly wrong. Whatever the reason Izzy is pissed and he's got guns! Two of 'em! OMG, you'd better look out 'cause I don't think he's in a talking mood.
Just can't talk to those lizards.... Izzy is a good guy really. He just gets in "those moods" when he's pushed too far.
[A good old fashioned pencil work on Bristol board (I just love Bristol board). This started as a simple anatomy piece but then turned into something other. I'm quite pleased with it and think Izzy is cute in his own way.] Graphite on Bristol
Oh yes, this is a photo taken of the Lizzy. He's too big to scan so that accounts for the weird look of this piece as far as quality of image goes. I've got an old camera and it only does so much.

Hey there, gator stud. Yes! It did take a while to do the scales. The hardest part was trying to make the pattern look realistic and "possible". I got that pose from one of my anatomy "action" books and it turned out rather well. Gotta love anatomy books. :) My biggest complaint is the horrible quality of the picture, my photos just never turn out that well. He actually looks much better in the "flesh" as it were.
Thanks for the great comment, Karerease. :)

Of course I'd have to see the raw drawing for comparison, but I rather like the blurry, archaic texture that comes from photographing the image, as if it were made decades ago. I've always been fond of exploiting glitches and errors to creative gain
Apart from that, I love his pose, especially the feet! I could never get a hang of dynamically posed figures like that
