Abilities: Resonance can emit whistles and other high-pitched noises that can attack a specific target or group's ears, rendering them incapacitated against follow-up attacks or resisting arrest. He also possesses an echolocation sight he can make use of when his eyes are closed, and manipulate his voice and/or accent. He has decent training in martial arts, and his body(in actuality his suit) can withstand great damage. He also has immunity from deadly poisons and most drugs, and his body will deal with any contracted virus or disease rapidly.

Weaknesses: Being that his powers mostly revolve around sound, silencing him one way or another causes him to resort to his physical strength and skill on it's own, as he can't use his sound attacks if he can't speak.

Personality: Mattias is very much the rich playboy celebrity that people assume him to be. Flirty and somewhat vain to the point of arrogance, despite being a classy gentleman, he enjoys flexing his talents and accomplishments with hints about his wealth at fancy parties here and there, and lives life to the fullest with his own personal mansion on the outskirts of Coast City.

He completely changes when he puts on the Resonance costume and assumes the alias, though he still retains the gentleman attitude, he is much more down-to-earth, compassionate, and empathetic to others. He is also well-meaning never-say-never attitude and fierce determination, though that can cause him to panic in certain situations.

Background: Mattias was born into a wealthy family of various influential levels, his mother working as a costume designer for a particular company while his father held a high position at a particular company focused on making advanced security and other such technology. Though this caused the two to rarely be around in Mattias's life, only interacting him once he had grown to his teen years sparingly, but they showed enough love and attention that he treasured. The rest of the time, he spent with his butler and maid when he wasn't at the private school he had been signed up to.

Years passed, and he grew into a respectable celebrity after deciding to take a path in modeling and making a killing of it, becoming a swift and popular celebrity in the fashion model industry, which was helped by his mother having a immense foot in the door that opened up many opportunities for him. But it was this that also earned him ire and jealously from other would-be models, one in particular who despised him for taking their chance at fame simply because she believed he was given it from his mother's influence.

This lead to an assassination attempt by this woman, who attempted to both spike and poison the dolphin's drink at a particular party between models and celebrities in the field. Unwittingly, Mattias drank them down, but his body had a surprising reaction to the attempted murder. Instead of falling asleep and the poison doing it's work, it altered his voice in a manner he managed to hide from the reactions he could tell were happening. Finding out what happened, the one responsible was caught and arrested, but Mattias was confused about his emerging powers, discovering he could 'see' when his eyes were closed, but everything was black and all that made sound appeared as static white outlines.

Upon returning to his house, he received a phone call from his father, who had seen the news report about the attempted assassination. It was then he explained that Mattias's body was not normal, having been altered by a specific project that his father was working on over at S.T.A.R. Innovations. Mattias was immune to all forms of natural poison, most drugs, and any disease, illness, or virus he can potentially contract. All of this were side-effects of a experimental treatment he had made to deal with a particularly fatal one that Mattias had contracted from birth, and while it succeeded in doing it's job, it ended up going beyond the call of duty for the young dolphin.

With this development, Mattias pondered on his father offering him to learn about his powers at S.T.A.R. Innovations' labs, to which he agreed. After many tests and results, the extent of the effects were determined, and with the persuasion of both his father and the C.E.O. of S.T.A.R. Innovations, he accepted a superhero suit designed by his father, donning it to become a new hero of Coast City, Resonance! Though he questions the fact his costume matches with his body pattern and appearance to the point it looks to be a part of his body, excluding the gloves and boots.
