Eliza Cullen's natural size and strength seemed to only suit her for hard labor jobs, barley making ends-meet while feeling like she was treated like less than dirt; even if it wasn't always the case. This sour attitude effected her both inside and outside of work, some of her past relationships failing because of her negative outlook on life. It had finally come to working as an electrical assistant for InferCorp that changed her life, a careless accident on her part with an experimental engine causing her to be transformed on a molecular level.

While in an induced comma during her transformation the heads of InferCorp wanted to pull the plug while keeping both the accident and the transformation buried. Too-little too-late did they attempt this cover up as Eliza awakened, charged with her new and dangerous powers to control, conduct and exhort electricity. And with her newfound powers Eliza, calling herself 'Thunder Tusk' now had a new look on life: to be on top of everyone else no matter what.
