Phosphate Facility Rear
So, I went Urban Exploring last Saturday for the first (REAL) time, and it was pretty great. :3 All of these pics were taken in eastern Florida, in and around the Brandon, Florida, area. It's somewhat near to Bartow.
The rear of the phosphate structure, showing an odd overhang, whose original purpose is a mystery. Check out the palmetto bush growing all the way up there! xD Looking down, there are some sort of signals over each of several open arches leading inside. I believe this was a phosphate railcar loading facility, where the railcars would be backed under the building by switching locomotives, and filled with phosphate. I can't fully make out what the plaque above the near arch says, but it's something to do with train crew members riding on the cars. Probably something along the lines of 'No Clearance for Man on Side of Car'.
